Pork Pot Roast Recipe
1/2 tsp of cloves
1 cup of sugar (brown)
1 tsp of mustard
3 Tbsps of vinegar
3 cup of water
4 to 5 lbs of pork (for roasting)
Place the pork roast in a large pot of lightly-salted water. Boil it for an hour. Drain the broth, and transfer the meat to a platter to remove the fat. Transfer it back to the pot.
Meanwhile, combine the 3 cups of water, vinegar, brown sugar, cloves and mustard in a small bowl; and whisk well ’til smooth. Pour it into the pot with the roast.
Bring it to a boil then simmer for about an hour. Remove from the heat and let it stand in the mixture overnight. May be used as sandwich filling or may be served in thin slices as you would serve ham.
