Low-cost Chocolate Cake Recipe
1/2 cup of oil
1 Tbsp of vanilla
2 tsps of salt
2 tsps of soda
2 Tbsps of vinegar (white or apple cider)
2 cup of water
2 cup of sugar (refined)
3 cup of flour
6 Tbsps of cocoa
Preheat the oven up to 350 degrees F.
Prepare the cake. Combine flour, sugar, salt, soda and cocoa altogether in a large mixing bowl.
Mix it well with your hand. While mixing, pour in water, oil, vinegar, and 1/2 Tbsp of vanilla. Mix it thoroughly. Transfer it to a floured and greased baking dish (9×13 inches); and then bake for half an hour.
To make the frosting, blend margarine, milk, cocoa, powdered sugar, and the remaining vanilla using a food processor ’til smooth and fluffy. Set it aside.
Remove cake from the oven, and let it cool. Decoratively spread the frosting on top of the cake, as well as the sides. Chill for a minimum of an hour, and then serve.
