Budget Cream Cheese Danish Recipe

Danish Ingredients:
1/2 tsp of lemon juice; freshly-squeezed
1/4 c of sugar (powdered)
1 pack cream cheese (8 oz)
2 pcs (or tubes) of bread sticks (refrigerated)

Frosting Ingredients:
1 to 2 tsp of milk
1/2 c of sugar (powdered)

Preheat the oven up to 400 degrees F.

Separate the bread stick coils (do not uncoil). Assemble it on a cookie sheet (ungreased). Press the top of the bread coils using your thumb to leave a dent. Set aside.

Meanwhile, mix the cream cheese, lemon juice and sugar altogether in a small bowl. Whisk thoroughly ’til smooth.

Afterward, spoon about a tablespoon of cheese mixture into each of the bread coil dents. Bake it for 15 minutes (may be increased to 20 minutes depending on your preference).

To make the frosting, combine the 1/2 cup of powdered sugar with milk; and whisk it ’til smooth. Spread it over the hot danish prior to serving. This recipe makes a dozen, which only costs roughly %0.15 each.
