Beef and Cabbage Casserole Recipe
Salt
1/4 tsp of paprika
1/2 cup of onion; minced
1/2 pound of beef (lean); ground
1/2 tsp of celery seeds (fresh)
3/4 cup of milk (low fat)
3 Tbsps of flour
3 Tbsps of margarine
4 cup of cabbage; shredded
Place a medium-sized skillet with margarine over medium heat. When the margarine melts, toss in the garlic and onions. Once the garlic turns light brown and the onion becomes transparent, add in the beef and saute ’til light brown.
Add in the shredded cabbage while constantly ’til the cabbage nearly wilts. Reduce the heat. Add in the flour, salt, paprika, pepper, and celery seeds.
Stir constantly; and then pour in milk. Stir some more; and then cover the skillet. Let the mixture simmer for nearly half an hour (or depending on desired limpness of the cabbage). Adjust the seasonings depending on your preference.
