Baked Taco Recipe
2 cloves of garlic; crushed
1 onion (medium); chopped
1 canned mushroom soup
1 lb of beef; ground
1 canned tomatoes (rotel)
1 block of cheese; grated
1 Tbsp Margarine
1 pack taco kit
Place a medium-sized skillet with margarine over medium heat. When the margarine melts, toss in the garlic and onions. Once the garlic turns light brown and the onion becomes transparent, add in the beef. Saute ’til light brown. Drain the fat.
Pour the mushroom soup into the beef together with tomatoes; as well as the taco sauce and seasoning from the kit. Cook it altogether over low heat. Let it simmer covered for about 5 minutes (or ’til desired thickness). Remove from the heat and set aside.
Heat the taco shells as stated in the package instructions in the oven. Do not microwave. Break up half of the heated shells. Form a bed of crumbled shells in a rectangular pyrex. Top it with the beef mixture.
Break up the remaining half of the shells. Sprinkle it over the beef mixture. Top the crumbled shells with cheese. Cover it with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 25 minutes or until the cheese melts
