Baked Beef Rolls Recipe
1 Tbsp of Veggie oil
2 garlic cloves; crushed
1 onion (medium); diced
1/4 c of water
1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
1lb of beef; ground
1 pack of flour tortillas
1salsa (large jar)
2 c of Cheddar (or Parmesan) cheese; shredded
2 tsps of garlic salt
2 tsps of chili powder
Place a large nonstick skillet with oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, saute the garlic and onions. When the onions are transparent, stir in the ground beef ’til it turns light brown. Drain the fat.
Add in the water, chili powder, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for approximately 5-7 minutes ’til all the water is nearly absorbed.
Pour half a jar of salsa together with one cup of Cheddar into the browned beef; and stir well. Simmer for 5 more minutes; and then remove from the heat.
Preheat the oven up to 350 degrees F.
Fill individual flour tortillas with two (2) tablespoons of beef mix. Roll it as you would a burrito; and then line it up on a glass baking dish (9×13 inches) with the seam side faced down.
Top the rolls with what is left of the salsa, as well as the cheese. Bake it uncovered for approximately 20-25 minutes.
