Beef Roast on a Pot Recipe

Flour
Garlic; crushed
1/2 cup of sugar (brown)
1/4 tsp of salt (light)
1/2 cup of vinegar
1/4 cup of soy sauce (light)
2 Tbsps of margarine
2 pcs of onions (medium)
3-5 lbs of beef roast
1/2 bay leaf; broken up into small pieces (crumbled)

Preheat the oven up to 300 degrees F.

Place a large skillet over medium heat. Melt the margarine on the skillet. When it is hot, saute the garlic and onions; and then roll the beef ’til brown. Transfer the browned beef pot roast in a casserole.

Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar, light salt, soy sauce, vinegar, soy sauce and crumbled bay leaves altogether in a small bowl. Whisk the mixture well and pour it over the beef roast.

Bake it covered for two (2) hours. Take the roast out of the casserole and slice it into thin, bite-sized pices. Set it aside.

Use the beef roast drippings to make the gravy. In case the drippings reach one cup, just dissolve about 1.5 tablespoons of flour in a 1.5 cups of water, and pour it into the drippings.

Stir well ’til the sauce is smooth and thick. Add soy sauce to add flavor. Adjust the measurements depending on the amount of drippings produced.

Assemble the roast in a serving platter; and then pour gravy over it. You may serve it with steamed vegetables like carrots, peas and corn; and mashed potatoes (optional).
